Crispy Corn Chaat Chinese Style

This pandemic has taught a lot of things to all of us. few people opt for painting, embroidery and cooking as well. and as being a mom I am also ready to explore things specially when it comes to cooking. Because my son is no 1 ka Chatora ( Foodie) . since due to pandemic all the restaurants are closed and only takeaways are open. but it feels too risky to order food from outside so why not explore in your kitchen.

Every evening most I am facing on only one issue mom shaam ko snacks main kya hai ( mom what is there to munch in evening) not only kids even the adults are looking forward so now what to do . You have to make something healthy and tasty . I am sure all the moms are facing this issue. so here I made this crispy corn chaat at home its easy and tasty.

 So lets get started with the recipe.



Serves - 2

Ingredients  :-

Corn Grains - 2 Cups 

Corn Starch - 3 tbsp

All Purpose Flour ( Maida ) - 2 cups

Black Pepper powder - 2 Pinch

Salt -1 Pinch 

water - a dash 

Oil - For Frying

For Sauce :-

Garlic (chopped) - 1tbsp

Ginger (chopped) - 2tsp

Green chilli (chopped) - 1tsp

Red Onion (chopped) - 4tbsp

Capsicum (chopped) - 3tbsp

Red Bell Pepper - 2 tbsp

Yellow Bell Pepper - 2 tbsp

Salt - to taste

Black Pepper Powder - to taste

Soya Sauce (light) - 2tbsp

Red Chilli Sauce - ½ tbsp

Tomato Ketchup - 1 tbsp

Spring Onion (chopped) - ½ cup

Procedure :-

1) Boil the corn and cool them . Once cooled down take all the corns in a bowk and sprinkle the cornflour and the maida on it .
 
2) Now sprinkle pepper powder and salt above it and add a dash of water and mix it well.

3) Now in a wok hot oil and fry all the corn kennels till it changes colour to  golden brown then take it out on an absorbent paper. ( Note while frying corns make sure to stay a little bit away from the wok as corns tend to splutter ) 

4 ) Now in another kadhai ( Wok ) add little bit of oil , once the oil is hot add garlic,ginger, onion and green chille toss it on high flame just for 30 seconds.

5) Now add all the veggies and toss it on high flame just for 1 min.

6) Then add all the sauces,  salt and pepper mix well then add the corn and toss it well on high flame.

7) Turn of the gas and take it out on a plate , serve hot and before serving ,sprinkle with spring onion.

Note ( If your kids don't like spicy food you can add  a dash of honey to it .
