Ghar ki Murgi ( Home made chicken curry)


Today I will share the favorite chicken recipe which is quite simple and finger licking..
In my family everybody likes it a lot and since it doesn’t need much of a preparation even I also like to cook it so this recipe is for those who want to have some finger licking homemade simple and yet tasty chicken curry..

So let’s get started…



Serving : 4

Ingredients
Chicken – 1/2kg (Cut into medium pieces)
Potato -  2  -( Peeled and cut into 2 Half)
Onion -2 (Finely chopped)
Garlic Cloves – 7 to 8 cloves (Finely chopped)
Ginger – 1 small piece ( 2 cm ) Finely Chopped
Tomato – 2 (Finely Chopped)
Green Chilies -2 (Slit)
Coriander Leaves -1/2 Cup Finely chopped
Mustered Oil – 2 Tbsp (You can use vegetable oil as well if you don’t like to use mustered oil)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2Tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Dry Mango Powder – 1/2tsp
Garam Masala Powder -1/2Tsp
Salt: As per Taste

Procedure

1)Switch on the burner and keep the pressure cooker on top of it.
2)Pour the oil and let it get hot once the oil is hot enough put the onion into it and stir it..
3)When the onion is half done add ginger and garlic into it and saute until the onion is brownish in         color then add all the dry masala’s and stir.
4) Now add tomato into it and keep stirring it for 1 to 2 minutes if need sprinkle some water into it. 5)Now add Chicken pieces into the gravy and keep stirring for 5 minutes and Now add the potatoes       and pour  1 Glass of water into it and cover the lid.
6)Once the pressure cooker  blows one whistle simmer the gas and let it cook for next  10 minutes . 7)once the 10 minutes are over switch off the gas open the lock of the cooker but do not take out the
  air let the chicken steam cook once the air is released naturally the lid will fall naturally take out the   lid .
8) now add the finely chopped coriander on top of it and stir it. Your chicken is ready to serve.

You can eat it with chapatti or Rice. My family prefers it with steamed Rice rest is your take ..

Tip: Onion Salad is a good option to be served with it..
