Today I will share my memory of Jodhpur Visit , the beautiful place with beautiful history and beautiful places around.
I visited Jodhpur in January 2017 . The city is really beautiful but only problem I faced was that the hotel which i took was outside the city although the place was really beautiful and picturus only drawback was that if you get late you wont get any cab to drop you there. so make sure when you visit you take the hotel inside the city only near clock-tower or you book a taxi which will stay with you till the time it drops you.
Places to see.
Mandore Garden
My first visit in Jodhpur after reaching to my hotel was Mandore garden , It was very near to my hotel. This place is very beautiful with old forts and temple which were abonden way back but the work is very beautiful and huge gardens . and kids enjoy there a lot because you will find the guest there those special guest are the langoors . people feed them there .this place is very artistic and piece of our historical architect designs . This place is always known as the Native place of Ravan's Wife Mandodari, From Mandodari comes the Mandore. Only one thing that you have to walk a lot there so make sure when you go it should not be the time of after noon no matter if it is winter .
Mehrangarh Fort
Next day morning we visited Mehrangarh fort this is also at-least one time visit place , it is amongst the largest fort in India.. They have a beautiful museum inside showing beautiful painting , ancient weapons etc. This fort is so high it stand approx 400 ft high above the city. from the terrace of the fort you can see the complete view of Jodhpur. When I visited jodhpur I was little disappointed because I could not spot the houses in blue but when I was standing above the terrace of the fort and was telling my husband that I could not spot blue houses one of the natives told me that the place is known as Chandpol very near to fort and that is the old area there the houses are painted in blue .So next time when you visit the city dont forget to visit chandpol to see the original charm of the city.

Clock Tower
Like other ancient cities Jodhpur has also its own clock tower which was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh.
This place no doubt is very crowded place but this is the real charm of the city, from shopping to eating every thing.
There is a beautiful market which surrounds the clock tower and when you visit this place dont forget to go on clock-tower from there the market looks entirely different and if you are lucky enough or you plan your visit before 6 in the evening may be you will be able to see the working of the clock tower how the clock of the tower is operated , it is still maintained very well, also if you are a shopaholic like me you will get plenty of options to buy from utensils to traditional cloths to souvenirs etc.

Thar Desert
When in Jodhpur how can someone miss the opportunity to visit Thar desert to see the beautiful Sand dunes. We visited this place called Camp Thar and no doubt it was indeed a beautiful place. although we did not stayed there we went only for a day trip . before going to this place our driver took us to the local goddess temple named osian devi temple and then we went to this beautiful resort we spent some quality time also we had a very tasty and mild lunch there . I would say the money for the lunch they charge was little high for the variety they served but that is fine the food was over all good mild and like home made so I would say that is ok . while my son was excited to see the sand dunes for the first time, he had lots of fun there along with the Camel ride.

Umaid Bhavan Palace
Me and my son both are a big fan of show called Master chef India and in its 2016 season it was shot in Umaid Bhavan Palace so from there I was very much enthusiastic about visiting Umaid Bhavan Palace so when we visited Jodhpur how can I miss the opportunity to see the beautiful historic master piece . Umaid Bhavan is one of the worlds largest private residences . It has been divided into three parts. One Part is managed by the Taj hotels group and in the other part is the residence of the present Royal family. and third part has been converted into museum and I must say I was lost in dreams when I saw the huge collection of the Vintage cars there . and there is beautiful museum inside which depicts the history of the palace and the vintage clocks and there are other beautiful stuff as well. So when in Jodhpur do visit this Masterpiece of Architecture.

My little one enjoying in the garden |
These were few places I was able to visit in Jodhpur in my 3 day short trip and while coming back I preferred to take the train in the day time because on the way there is deserted jungle and if you are lucky you will be able to spot some wildlife creatures so I preferred it that way so that my little one can enjoy . I must say my this trip was short and sweet.
