The beauty of Amritsar City

I studied about golden temple in my GK book when I was in 2nd class and from the day I was always curious to see the temple specially wanted to to see how the temple of gold will look a like... when I grew Studied more about the place . and finally by gods grace my wish came true and my husband planned a 3 day trip to Amritsar.. I cant explain in words how happy I was . So when I reached Amritsar I was very excited to pay visit to Golden temple for Darshan.. My family went to Golden temple in the evening .. although I wanted to do the morning darshan but the locals there told us to visit the temple in the evening cause in the evening the beauty of the temple is amazing and to my surprise I dont have words I was speechless the feeling was devine

and then next day early morning I again went alone to visit the temple as could not get enough of the shrine in evening I wanted to the morning darshan always and in early morning surrounded by holy water the temple just look amazing

Now after doing darshan I went to have Parshada ( holy food served at golden temple for the pilgrims)and if you visit the Temple this is must have thing to be done specially the langar wali daal ( lentil made at the holy kitchen) is awesome .

Places you must visit while you are in Amritsar..

  After having our break fast we started exploring the city so we went to the place called Sadda Pind this is place which has been given the look of a Punjabi Village and it is awesome if you want to feel the life of the typical punjabi village then this is the place for you , and I must tell you will never be disappointed once you visit the place and the ticket is very minimal 650 for adults 500 for child below 4 feets..

and in this ticket they will serve you a hearty meal and also few joy rides and games are included ..

My little one enjoyed his visit to this village a lot and it was indeed a lifetime memory for us ..

you can visit to this place before going to wagah border it is very near to that  its just you have to plan your day accordingly..

After this we went to Wagah Border and there I experienced the Patriotic madness and would say this is the place one should must visit at once in a lifetime ..

There are many more places to visit like govind garh for they run light show in the evening which is amazing and the locals call it kunda bol diya ne ( walls also talk) also they show you one small film on Maharaja Ranjit Singh you will love it.

And there is also Partion Mueseum very near to Golden Temple it also a good place to get a check on our history . As well as there is Jalianwalan Bagh just adjusunt to the Temple I visited there very seren place but I could not get the courage to click the picture .

If you are a shopoholic then dont worry you will not be disappointed just outside the Temple there is huge market of Patiala dupttas , Punjabi Juttis and chappals , Patiala Salwars bery beautiful suits and shawls and also there are so many shops which are selling Amritsari Vadian ( Sundried Lentil cakes) Papad and fryms and Aam Papad.

and I will not spoil your visit by explaining you more about the places its better you visit by your self let the surprise element be there .. In my next segment will share the places for food because any place visit is incomplete without its food.....
