Amirtsar a Heaven for foodies

Amritsar is the most important place for the sikh shrine The Golden Temple and besides that it is heaven for foodies.. After paying visit to Golden Temple I decided to explore the city for its famous food joints although I was not able to explore all of them but where ever I was able to visit was not less the others..

Here is my list where the food which I ate found finger licking good

I will start with Guru ka Langar ( Community meal served at Golden temple)
If you are visiting Amritsar and paying a visit to Golden temple never ever miss the Langar .. This hearty meal served with love and blessing of the god will not even fill your stomach even your heart will too be happy..

• Charming Chicken ( Majitha Road ) : The day I reached Amritsar in after noon after debording the train . because my train got late so it was almost 2 in after noon when we came out of the station and me and my husband were dying of hunger so we decided to go to some good place have our lunch  then we will go to the hotel so my husband did the quick search on google and found the reviews for the hotels to be good. so we visited there and the food I must say it was more than our expectation..We had butter chicken with garlic naan and salty lassi..My recommendation is their salty Lassi it was awesome real creamy and milky.

• Friends Dhaba ( Queens Road) : This place was near to my hotel and while going to hotel my son read the name and I dont know what in the name but he was mad to have food in friends dhaba . So we decided to have dinner there . We had chicken keema stuffed paratha it was good they served it with some special gravy I found gravy was a good company to the Paratha.

• Giani Tea Stall ( Cooper Road) : Next day we started our food conquest for some good breakfast near to our hotel and this place was just few minutes walking distance away so we decided to have our morning tea here. When we reached the place it was quite full . People in group who have come out for morning walk specially in weekends love to have their morning tea here this was an amazing place very small and indeed a very friendly . first we had the normal team with their special kachori and then we had bread omelet it was good and then my husband ordered their special masala chai it was nice.. so when you visit Amritsar and want to have good tea in the morning to energise your rest of the day do visit this place..

• Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchian Wale ( Bazar Bikaneria  near golden temple) : For the lunch we decided  to have the famous Amritsari Kulche and we visited this place very near to golden temple .  When we reached there it was very crowded so we had to wait  for about 15 minutes but the wait was worth of it because the kulchas they serve are  awesome with chole and Sweet Lassi ..The Lassi is too good with rich layer of cream on top of it.So when you visit Amritsar and want to have Amritsari kulche this  place is the best. 

• Gurdas Ram Jalebi wala ( Katra Ahluwalia) When we were coming back after having ourhearty meal of Amritsari Kulche we saw this shop just on the corner of the Street and he was making hot and crispy jalebis and since my husband loves jablebi he could not resist and we had our hot and crispy Jalebi and my son had his favourite sweet that is Gulab Jamun ..  
• Makhan Fish Corner ( Majitha Road) - For the diner we visited this place and ordered their famous fried fish and the fish was as soft as the name of the restaurant Makhan means Butter  it  was just melting in the mouth if I get the chance to visit Amritsar once again I am definately  going once more for this fish fry .. If you are a fish lover you must try this .
   

•   A 1 Kulfa ( queens road) : If you are eating so much how is it possible that you will not try your  hand on desert so we went to this Kulfa stall they make very limited quantity and its cant   explain  ever never eaten this kind of desert before they make real tasty Kulfa .. this is made up  in layers of different kind of desert first its phirni then its Kulfi then its Falooda and then on top  of it Rabdi its toooo good.

There are other awesome places also for eating and they are also very good but because of the limited time I could not try my hands on other once but if I go once more I would definitely like to go and taste the food there also it just I did not find any single hotel / restaurant which are not serving food upto the mark Amritsar truly is a heaven for foodies like me.
