Maalpua ( Pancakes made in sugar syrup)

                             

Festive Season Time for sweets:-

I was thinking what sweet should I share with u then this delicious recipe of Malpuaa's  Clicked into my into my mind. This delicious Malpuaa's are the sort of Pan cakes dip in sugar syrup.
So now lets start:-

Ingredients:- ( For Pan Cakes)

All Purpose flour ( Maida) - 1 Cup
Milk Solid  ( Khoya,Mawa) - 1 Cup
Warm Water -1 Cup ( for making paste)
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 Pinch
Oil - For frying

How to make :-
First grate the Milk Solid. Once done add Maida to it and mix well.After that add fennel seeds and baking powder and mix.Add little warm water and make a paste out of it if required add more water . Do not add all the water at one go.Mix well for 5 minutes.This will help in making soft   Malpuaa,s.
Now take a thick bottom pan and heat the oil. once the oil is hot pour a table spoon of mixture into the pan do not try to make a shape it will automatically take round shape . Shape can vary it may not be exactly circle looking but don't worry about that. And do not try to deep fry them they need to be shallow fry only.
When the Malpuaa gets golden brown from both the sides keep it out of the Pan . This way you can make other Malpuaa,s as well.

Ingredients( For making Sugar syrup)
Sugar - 2 Cup
Water - 1 Cup
Cardamom Powder - 2 pinch

How to make Sugar syrup:-
Take 1 Cup of Water and 2 Cups of Sugar and boil them together on a medium flame till it becomes syrup then add a 2 pinch of Cardamom powder for taste and boil the syrup till the time it becomes a thread like consistency. it will take around 10 minutes.To check the right consistency take a drop of sugar between your two fingers ( thumb and index finger) and then stretch it you will see a thread consistency coming out it. It means your syrup is ready.

Now dip the Malpuaa's in this hot syrup for next five minutes. make sure the Malpuaa's are properly dipped into it.
Then take them out and granish them with grated almonds or pistachio .
Serve hot.
