Hi Friends,
As I belong to Delhi , Born and brought up here while playing in
the small streets, Wide Roads of Delhi I have grown up here so I would like to
talk about Delhi first.
Delhi (Heart of India) and a Hub of Indian Politics and slowly taking
its own outstanding part in Bollywood.
I will start my journey with you with one of my favorite
places in Delhi i.e., delhi haat near INA Market South Delhi. These days Delhi
has so many malls and i see young people or for that matter families thronging to these malls esp on weekendsThese malls have food joints and
offer you a variety of food even food from far flung corners of the world . I like to go
to Malls but i also love to go to open places like Delhi Haat. In Malls you can do shopping, eating, watching movies under one roof , But
Frankly Speaking the old world charm of shopping, bargaining and rickshaw rides is what i find missing in these malls.in malls we do more of a window shopping because most of the things are
Dam Costly, unsuitable for our middle class pockets. but in the local markets of Delhi like Sarojini
Nagar, Central Market, Kamla Nagar , Karol Bagh, Chandni Chowk you can shop to your hearts content without burning a big whole in your pocket and bargaining with shop keepers is an additional charm.
In delhi haat you can get cuisines from all over india under one roof,in a manner of speaking.there is also a wide range of handicrafts, ranging from textiles, footwear, ornaments and more.you can shop there till you drop and then gorge on all the delicious and mouth watering dishes that stalls from different states have to offer.just suppose you didnt have your fill, then not to worry, you can go to the nearby sarojini nagar and shop to your hearts content.the stuff is reasonably priced and of good quality. Do
lot of Bargaining girls and have fun.
In Delhi Haat u can have your fav food in open air, sitting under trees and that really is some experienc!
When ever I go Delhi haat my first attraction is Wazwan the Kashmiri
food and followed by Assam and then food joint named Magadh se.
My
personal recommendations are a dish called Bhogali from Assam stall, Goshtba from Kashmiri Food Stall and the Kakori Kebabs with Magadhi Paratha.in tnese monsoon months when the weather is on the cooler side and pleasant, why go to ac malls when you can visit an open air place like delhi haat, have Hot Steaming Onion Kachori , along with Mirchi Ka bada and a cup of
Masala Tea from Rajasthan stall.
Enjoy and Have Fun!
